Not Getting Orders on Fiverr? Start Your Own Blog and Make Money

No one knows exactly what the client on Fiverr wants before an engagement. Fiverr is like walking in the dark for most people, hoping that you will reach the door. Getting orders on Fiverr majorly depends on your luck rather than your gigs. After you have tweaked your gigs and you feel they are perfect, placed an attractive profile photo, and uploaded a nice photo or video to accompany your gig, the rest depends on fate. There are many things that you can do to make your profile more appealing to clients. However, always keep in mind that the clients are not robots. They are real people.  They know what they want and one thing on your profile may put them off. Might be your price, your profile, your gender, or your race. Could be something you can change or cannot. Instead of wasting more wondering about what you can do on Fiverr to attract clients, start your own blog and curve your own destiny with the following tips;

Think of a niche

You will not get far if you write about everything and anything unless it is a personal blog. For a blog that you want to use as a source of income, you have to think on what you want to post about and focus on it at all times. You want to create your own space as the go-to person on particular topics. The effect of a niche can be observed during Google ranking as blogs belonging to writers who are known to write certain topics tend to always be ranked at the same level on Google. For instance, Madame Noir websites discuss the black race and has therefore formed its own reputation as the site to visit if you want to read about any updates about the black race. The reader at a niche site is like an impulse buyer. They want to read more and you should take advantage of that. Make it difficult for the reader to get in and out of your website without taking a tour about what extra content you have about that niche.

Create your own website

You can purchase a domain and host your own website to you can have fun with a subdomain like blogger .com or word press. The subdomains are the best for the beginner who may want to have a feel about blogging before getting into it full-fledged. As you can see, my blog is based on a blogger subdomain. I started writing a while back and forgot about it. I did not know what I wanted to write about and I ran out of ideas. The plan was to eventually import the blog into my own domain but I lost the mojo. It was until recently after years of being rejected on several writing sites and being rejected when I overheard someone tell another that they were frustrated by freelancing sites until they started writing their own blogs and that was when they made their breakthrough. I wanted to start may own website and maybe have some Google AdSense on it. I remembered this blog. If I had purchased this blog I would have lost the domain and would have started afresh. If my target was to monetize it with Google AdSense I would have waited for three months again. The free blogs are therefore amazing places for the writer bound by procrastination or maybe you only want to test the waters. A free blog will be a nice place to start.

Write useful content

Your blog will only bring money if it has useful content. Besides monetizing it, your blog is your brand. You may attract clients who may be interested in your writing skills. You do not have to struggle too hard to make your blog stand out and post your products, have Google AdSense on it and share it everywhere on social media until it is flagged off as spam. Respect your content by letting it shine ahead of you. Write it and post it. You may share it on social media but good content will always find its way to the top. Your role should be to write, publish, and wait. It is important to note that good content is relative. What may seem like rubbish to one reader will be gold to the next reader so be confident about your content.

Have plenty of content

All the articles and blog that rank on Google’s first page have one similarity – long articles of at least seven hundred words. Lengthy content give Google something to crawl into and rank the article because it has sufficient content. Less is never more in writing unless the quantity has been specified. In your own blog you can write as much as you want. Take the advantage and write everything that is worth sharing.

Check the grammar

Spelling mistakes and grammatical errors are unforgivable even in your own blog. The readers quickly lose interest in reading the content and the comments might dampen your spirits. Check your grammar. Have a second eye to look through it as sometimes our work seems perfect to until someone points out the mistakes.

How to Make Money with your Blog

Ever since the Corona pandemic surfaced, fewer people are online writing just for fun. People want to make money from it. With good traffic you can easily turn your blog into your source of income. Below are some methods that you can use to make money from your blog;

Google AdSense

Google AdSense has to be the most popular method among writers. Some content mills such as Hub pages have it installed so that the user automatically makes money from the article. The advertisements appear on your site and you make money whenever the reader clicks it. While it is the most popular method, the writer only makes money only when the advertisements are clicked and that may mean that the writer will have to wait a long time to earn lots of money from Google AdSense as most readers tend to avoid clicking the advertisements.

Affiliate Programs

Affiliate programs tend to be more rewarding than Google AdSense because the writer directly gets a commission whenever the reader purchases the product as directed from the site. The product is linked to the main site. The odds of a user clicking a product to purchase it are higher than the user clicking on an ad, as with Google AdSense.

Selling your own products

You can directly earn from selling your own product on your site. Imagine your blog is about dresses and the inspired reader goes ahead to make a purchase. This may be the ideal option for tech, fashion, book, and beauty writers.

Selling your services

You should never forget to inform your readers that you can provide skills. You need no Fiverr to tell your potential client what you can do. You are your own Fiverr now and your readers are your prospective clients. The best deal about writing is that your skill is straight-forward when you use your own blog. It is up to the reader to decide if they want to have a skilled writer as you write for them.
